Two Owls | Sketch

One of my earliest memories is sitting outside my grandparents’ trailer at Lake Eufaula beneath a strand of vintage owl twinkle lights. Our summers were filled with hot dogs; s’mores; off-brand soda and chips; Readers Digest; and old radios. I have a fascination with circles because I believe everything is cyclical and regenerative. I wanted to use basic shapes to represent something whimsical from my childhood that still comes to my mind often - multi-colored hoot owls overlooking the cousins as they tire to sleep.
