Child of the 90’s here! One of my favorite pastimes as a pre-teen was hanging out beneath the strobe lights of the local Skateland on Friday nights. This mixed media piece was originally white in the negative spaces. After using pastel and ink I decided to “wash” the piece with black. It created a glorious “blacklight” effect that took me back to the neon, star carpet of my favorite roller rink!
